Cari Martin was thanked by the Fairfield ISD School Board for all of her hard work and dedication to Fairfield ISD at the Thursday, Feb. 12, FISD school board meeting. Martin had been serving as the Fairfield Junior High Principal, but retired as of Feb. 12.
A FISD trustee election was called for May 2. There are two open positions and three candidates running. Candidates include Kevin Benedict, John Fryer, and Keith Whitaker.
The board approved the following action items Purchase of new library books for the Junior High and High school; 20262027 MOU with TSTC for Dual Credit Welding; the resolution to pay employees who were asked to stay home during the two ice days; ETTL as the Geotechnical firm for the bond project; posting for a Project Manager to oversee the day to day construction activities of the bond projects.
