Basketball playoffs are coming to an end for many. The girls state championships will be held this weekend and the boys next weekend. For the Bi-Stone Region, the Fairfield, Mexia, and Coolidge boys are still playing.
Fairfield The Eagles (21-8,8-4) defeated Rockdale 63-43 in the Bi-District Championship and Grandview 80-60 in the Area Championship this past week.
Fairfield played Huntington (27-11) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, in the Regional Semi-Final. The winner will play the winner of the Mexia (2314) and Orangefield (32-3) game later this week in the Regional Championship for a shot to advance to the State Semi-Final.
