Eagles to Play Orangefield in Regional Championship Tonight

The Fairfield Eagles (22-8) are playing the Orangefield Bobcats (33-3) tonight, March 6, in the Regional Championship at Livingston High School at 7:00 p.m. Fairfield ISD will be releasing school at 2:16 p.m. to allow fans time to travel to the game. 

According to former Fairfield basketball Coach Joey Worley, the last time the Eagles made it to the Regional Championship was in 1966. Fairfield won and lost to Gruver at the State Tournament. In 2010, Worley’s team fell to Hardin-Jefferson 58-53 in the Regional Semi-Final. 

The Eagles won a thriller on Tuesday night, March 3, against the Huntington Red Devils 38-36 in the Regional Semi-Final at Jacksonville High School.
