The Fairfield ISD school board is already preparing for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. During their meeting on Monday, March 10, Coleton Cox was hired as the Fairfield Junior High Principal and his wife, Sescelli, was hired as the Fairfield High School Counselor. Following an executive session at the end of the meeting, teacher contract extensions were approved based on the recommendations of campus principals and the FISD Superintendent Joe Craig. No teachers who are a part of the District of Innovation (DOI) received an extension. Those will be looked at next month. The board also approved the contracts from the Bi-County CoOp.
The board also accepted the resignations are Kylee Hunold (JH), Kathryn Rodriguez (Int) and Angie Rogers (CoOp). The board approved hiring Taryn Hanna as the Elementary Special Education teacher.
Campus administrators gave an update for their campuses. Many looked at benchmark scores and shared data with the board. Overall attendance was at 96.73%.
