Christ in teaching the apostles the true meaning of being a christian said, “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat, I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.” Our human understanding of religion has caused death and confusion throughout the centuries. Men have fought wars concerning religious belief over centuries and still do so today. God never intended for those who have trusted him as personal savior to kill others in the name of any religious movement. If this world has hope for a future without wars, killing and religious divisions it must follow the simple answers given in the verses above. We are to be servants of the Lord unto a wicked society that will in many places around the world kill Christians. The challenges of being a true servant will create greater life changes than being a soldier. Our desire to be a servant must start within the heart of every individual, family, church, community, state and country. Who has the heart of a true spiritual servant? Only those that have by faith sought forgiveness for rejecting Jesus Christ as personal savior and lord. Will you be a soldier or servant?
