Cox Hired as FJH Principal

Coleton Cox was named the Fairfield Junior High Principal for the 2026-2027 school year at the Fairfield ISD school board meeting on Monday night, March 9.

“Hiring a new administrator always comes with a lot of excitement and anticipation. Mrs. Mar- tin’s retirement announcement earlier in the school year let us go through the process without feeling rushed. As our JH Staff Committee met, they developed a list of characteristics they were looking for when screening the applicants,” FISD Superintendent Joe Craig said. “During the interview process, the committee loved his energy as well as his experience as an assistant principal at high performing schools in Keller ISD where he has served as an assistant principal for the past five years and has experience at the high school, elementary, and junior high levels. From my communication with him, I think he will be a great leader on the Junior High campus for both the students and the staff.”

Coleton graduated from Richland High School in North Richland Hills. He went on to graduate with a Bachelors in Sports Management from Texas A&M University in 2012 and his Masters in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2021.
