The Veterans Remembrance Park of Teague (VRPT) is excited to announce their first year to offer a scholarship. They will give a $300.00 scholarship to three graduating high school seniors from Freestone County. Scholarship awards will be based on academics, community service, and a written essay. This year’s theme for the essay is “America 250: Patriots (Veterans) Throughout Time”.
Graduating high school seniors attending Fairfield, Teague or Wortham High School can pick up an application packet in the Guidance Counselors’ Office. Parents of homeschool graduating seniors can pick up application packets at the Fairfield or Teague Public Libraries.
The deadline for applications is April 17, 2026.
