It doesn’t get much better than the days we’ve enjoyed on the lake the past couple of weeks! The fall temperature cool-down is great for fishing and any outdoor activity. Don’t let the great opportunity to see, feel and enjoy Mother Nature at her best pass you by during October and November!
We’re still catching catfish easily on all our trips and have found them not only on the main lake spots we’ve been fish-ing, but on several trips we’ve made up the Chambers and Richland Creek arms of the Lake! As the weather and water cools, the baitfish and the catfish make the move up the creeks and can be found in the timber from now through the winter months. Fishing is good now and will only get better! Catfishing peaks in the cooler months and while some folks find it hard to believe, the BEST FISHING is from now thru February! Bigger fish and lots of them! While you can catch catfish on any number of prepared and live baits, we choose to use Danny King’s Punch Bait on a treble hook. Having tried lots of “Stink Baits,” shrimp, shad and chicken livers over the years, we’ve found none that consistently catch the number of “Eater Size” cats like DK’s does!
Adam and I have October and November weekday openings and a couple of Saturdays still available in November and December. Give us a call and Let’s Go Fishin’!
