Teague ISD awarded $1,116,298 in Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) funds to 59 Teague ISD teachers on Tuesday, March 17. The amounts are estimates from last year as final awards amounts will not be released until April. The teachers will receive the funds in June.
When asked about how proud she was of the Teague ISD teachers, TISD Chief Academic Officer/Teague Elementary School Principal Crystal Adams said, “Extremely proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Seeing 59 of our educators earn TIA designations is a testament to the culture of excellence we’ve built here at Teague ISD. This isn’t just a win for the individual teachers; it’s a win for our students who benefit from this high-level instruction every day. Our teachers are the heartbeat of this community, and seeing them recognized at a state level - and rewarded financially for their hard work - is incredibly gratifying.”
Out of the 59 designated teachers, 32 earned the Master designation (~$24,000), 19 earned the Exemplary designation. (~$13,500), and 8 earned the Recognized designation. (~$6800). When awarded a designation, teachers receive a check once a year for a total of five years.
