On Monday, March 23, Fairfield Police Officer Joseph Tinsley responded to multiple calls for service regarding reports of vehicles being broken into within the Thousand Oaks District. Officers were provided with a description of a suspect believed to be responsible for several incidents occurring throughout the night.
While actively patrolling the area in search of the suspect, Officer Tinsley observed an individual matching the provided description at approximately 3:30 a.m. The individual was seen walking along Robindale Lane. Upon contact, Officer Tinsley identified the subject as Quincy Robinson.
During the encounter, Robinson was given multiple lawful commands, including instructions to keep his hands visible to the officer, to which Robinson failed to comply with. This required Officer Tinsley to detain Robinson and request additional assistance from Deputy Dallas McGee.
