Both the Fairfield Eagles and Lady Eagles won the district cross country meet last Wednesday, Oct. 9, held in Fairfield to advance to Regionals in Huntsville on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
“I am extremely proud of our cross country teams. They all set a goal at the beginning of the season, and watching them achieve it is so rewarding,” Coach Dani German said. “The amount of miles and hours they have put into this program is remarkable. There are not enough words to say how proud I am of them.”
The teams competing in the district meet included Fairfield, Teague, Mexia, Groesbeck, Elkhart, Westwood, and Buffalo.
