“I am proud of our boys for the way they came out ready to play. They showed resilience in just playing the next play,” Head Coach John Bachtel said. “It is great to be 1-0 in district and winning a big rivalry game. The game had a great environment. It was a fun atmosphere.”

With 8:09 left in the first quarter, Ny’land Coaster scored for the Lions on a five-yard touchdown. Zak Leija ran in on the two-point conversion to give Teague an 8-0 lead. Just 51 seconds later, Kohn Collins connected with Calyn Wilson for a 63-yard touchdown. The two-point conversion failed as the Lions held on with a two-point lead, 8-6.
