Thill Thanks Citizens for Support

City Council Member Place 2 Arland Thill thanked the citizens, board, Mayor, and city officials for all of their support over the years of him serving on the council. He noted that he decided not to run for re-election due to the fact that he plans on retiring in three years and moving to Tennessee. He added that the new high school will take up a lot of his time for the next several years as well.

“This is my last meeting,” Thill said before giving a lengthy speech thanking many from over the years. “I want to thank the citizens who voted for me and supported me. I lost friends from being on this board, but I don’t regret my decision to serve this city at all. Thank you all for putting up with me.”

The board approved the proposed pricing schedule and contract with Waste Connections. The cost will be $12 per month per residence. The cost will increase 4% each year over the five year term. Senior citizen cost will be below $10 per month.
