There’s certainly truth in the saying, “April showers bring May flowers”. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful ladies who consistently supply our center with necessary items. We truly appreciate both of them for their generous variety of salad dressings and the three containers of Blue Bell ice cream for our end-of-month birthday celebration. We’re grateful to have such caring, thoughtful, and generous friends at our Center!
We were all delighted to welcome Krista Ball from Skilled Care Nursing and Rehab in Mexia back to join us for Bingo last Wednesday. Her vibrant personality truly lights up the room, and she does a fantastic job calling bingo and mingling with everyone. Carl, our official Domino 42 expert and teacher, is well-loved. Sonya enjoyed playing dominoes with Carl a few weeks ago, and last week, I had the pleasure of joining him for a game of 42 — let’s just say, he’s quite the skilled player who never makes it too easy to win!
A huge thank you to all the volunteers and drivers for Meals on Wheels who go the extra mile for our Center. We invite you to join us Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 2:00, for coffee, lunch, or just to relax and enjoy the company of some truly wonderful people.
