Brackens, Thornburg Headed to State

Blayke Brackens and Brayden Thornburg are headed to the State Track Meet for Fairfield on Thursday, May 14, at the Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium in Austin.

Brackens won the gold in the long jump with a jump of 18’0” to advance to state. She also placed third in triple jump with a distance of 36’11” to advance to state as well.

“We are extremely proud of Blayke for advancing to the State Track Meet,” Coach Dani Scires said. “She has worked hard all season and we are excited to see her compete at State next week.”
