Bobby Nichols was sworn in as the Fairfield Mayor and Bill Freeman and Kenny Hughes as council members for the Fairfield City Council at their monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 12.
Nichols defeated Michael Daniels, Sr. 348-156 votes. Freeman won Place 1 with 303 votes over Roger Keeton’s 172 votes. Hughes defeated Toni Abram 294-215 votes.
At the beginning of the meeting, Donna Erwin questions the council about making repairs to Bonner Street as well as what was in the works for the Animal Control department. Nichols told Erwin that the council could not answer questions during the meeting, but that she could get with him afterwards to discuss the issues.
