It is officially summer. I just finished my 15th year in education. The past eight years have been at Fairfield ISD. I taught four years in Buffalo, one year in Texas City, and two years in Normangee before becoming an Eagle.
Things sure have changed over the years. However, my prayer each year is that I can have an impact on the lives of my students. They are more than just a test score. I strive to build a relationship with them throughout the school year. I love watching them grow and accomplish great things in junior high and high school.
The 104th Freestone County Fair is just right around the corner. It will be held June 15-20 at the W.L. Moody Reunion Fairgrounds in Fairfield. Make sure to come out and enjoy the week with family and friends.
