Our Veterans Remembered

Our Veterans Remembered

The Veterans Remembrance Park of Teague (VRPT) Board of Directors sends a great big thank you to the community for attending the Memorial Day Ceremony held at the VRPT on Monday, May 25. We thank Board Director, Bill Gipson for being our Master of Ceremonies during the event. Approximately 100 people joined us on this beautiful, warm day to honor and remember the men and women who have given their lives in service to their country in the U.S. military.

We greatly appreciate Buzz Russell, KNES99.1 - On-Air Personality Program Director, coming out to be our guest speaker. He shared personal stories about his family who served in the military and how their lives inspired him.

We thank VFW Post # 5872 from Fairfield for their ongoing support of the VRPT. They performed a solemn flag folding ceremony. Mr. Lamar Evans read meaningful official representations for each fold made by members of the VFW.
