Landon Morrison and Michael Zachry grabbed 15th place out of 185 teams in Texas at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) State Championship held May 30-31 on Lake Tahoma. They also received a $1,000 scholarship. After the first day, the boys weighed in their five fish at 13.23 pounds placing them in fifth place overall. On the second day, the boys weighed their catches in at 9.42 pounds bringing their total weight for both days to 22.65 pounds for the 15th place finish overall. Morrison and Zachry will compete at the Angler of the Year Tournament on Lake Tyler on Saturday, June 27. Their Captain is Scooter Long. Photo from Fairfield ISD Facebook
