Fairfield Police Chief Albert Gallegos introduced two new officers at the Fairfield City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 9. Jake Pratt and Dawn Morgan graduated from the Navarro College Police Academy.
Landis Bayless spoke to the council and let them know that the property located between his car wash and the city hall is coming up for purchase. He will give the city six weeks to decide if they wish to purchase the property at a discounted price before putting it on the market for sale.
City Secretary Misty Richardson noted that the city’s audit is currently underway as well.
