Still time to vote early

There’s still time to vote early in the 2024 general election. Early voting ends Friday, Nov. 1.

Early voting is at two locations: Fairfield Conference Center, 839 E. Commerce, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and at Teague City Hall, 105 S. 4th Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Oakwood ISD is calling for the approval of the ad valorem tax rate because the adopted rate exceeds the RISD Voter-Approval Tax Rate. Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $0.6969 will result in an increase of 7.09 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the district for the current year, as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $113,577.
