Each day brings information about conflicts in the world from Russia, China, Middle East and Venezuela.
Then you look at rural areas decline while urban areas increase in size. What binds all these occurrencestogether is the accelerating rate of technology.
Most of these areas that are conflicted cannot bring themselves to accept that technology necessary to compete in this modern world requires the freedom to interact with others without fear of repression or being put on the list of subversives. Take Russia for instance, Putin’s desire to reconstruct the old Soviet empire has driven out the young techno trained people that will be required to compete in the future.
Likewise, China allows technology but only to the degree that it does not empower those that would disagree with the ruling communist party. That is why you see young middle class Chinese crossing our southern border, their belief that technological growth lies in the U.S., not China.
