The Fairfield Lady Eagles traveled to Lorena on Tuesday night, Nov. 12, and brought home a one-point victory, 52-51, over the Lady Leopards in their season opener.
“The girls had to work really hard for the win last night,” Coach Sally Whitaker said on Wednesday. “Lorena is always a good team, and we knew it wouldn’t be easy.”
After the first quarter of play, Fairfield led 21-16. Both teams scored seven points in the second quarter as the Lady Eagles took a 2823 lead at halftime.
