Veterans appreciated by local DAR chapter

The Jonathan Hardin Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Inc. hosted a Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon in conjunction with the monthly chapter meeting on Nov.

The Jonathan Hardin Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Inc. hosted a Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon in conjunction with the monthly chapter meeting on Nov. 13.

For the special meeting, the club met at the First United Methodist Church in Mexia.

Regent Patti Gauntt called the luncheon meeting to order. First Vice-Regent Kay Alston gave the invocation which was followed by pledges to the United States and Texas Flags, the recitation of the American’s Creed and the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America.
