It is very busy this time of the year. We enjoyed the Teague Christmas parade on Thursday and the Fairfield Christmas parade on Saturday.
Katy and I typed tons of letters to Santa this past couple of weeks for the special Christmas section. We enjoyed reading all of the letters and seeing what all of the kiddos want this Christmas.
Presents are nice and this Christmas is a great time to give to others. However, if you can’t give to others, just give them some encouragement and show them Christ’s love. Some of the students just asked for time with their families this Christmas. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is our time to someone.
If funds allow, I pray that you will consider giving to someone in need this Christmas. There are many opportunities to give this Christmas like Angel Tree. Make a difference in the life of a kiddo and let them smile on Christmas morning.
We have one more week of school. I pray everyone has a great break and comes back in 2025 refreshed and ready to tackle the new year.
This week’s Bible verse is Matthew 1:21. It says, “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love the time of giving and just seeing all of the Christmas lights and decorations. We love riding around looking at all the Christmas lights. I remember so many more homes were decorated when I was younger. I’m so thankful for those who still decorate. More than anything though, please remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.
My prayer for us this week is that we will celebrate Christ’s birth this Christmas and not worry about everything else that truly does not matter. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
