Making the most of the new year

Katy and I really enjoyed our Christmas break. It was a much needed break. School starts back up next week for the kiddos after Christmas break. Everyone is ready to get back into a routine. However, before we know it, it is going to be spring break and then summer time.

Basketball is in full swing. District games are underway and playoffs are right around the corner in February. I always love the basketball playoffs. They are so intense and the crowd gets involved in the games.

This week’s Bible verse is Numbers 6:24-26. It says, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

Life is going to have mountains and valleys. We all struggle with things at times. However, with the Lord, all things are possible. I pray that he blesses you greatly in 2025 and we all grow closer to Him as well.

With a new year, it can be a great restart for many of us if we need it to be. Make sure to make memories with our family and friends. We never truly know what others may be going through around us. Take the time to smile and give encouragement to those around us. It can make all of a difference by showing the love of Christ to others. A little note of encouragement or a candy bar to help a co-worker get through the day can make a big difference.

My prayer for us this week is that we will always turn to the Lord for all of our needs and that we will make many new memories in the new year. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
