Severe weather plagues Texas

Severe weather threatened much of Texas with six tornadoes touching down in the Houston area Saturday, Dec. 28.

Although the National Weather Service urged North Central Texans to be alert for possible damage from heavy thunderstorms, there apparently was no damage.

However, an EF-0 tornado touched down in Freestone County six miles south of Teague on Christmas Eve about 5:30 p.m.
