The Fairfield Eagles defeated Elkhart and fell to Westwood this past week to move to 7-12 overall and 2-2 in district play.
On Tuesday night, Jan. 7, Fairfield jumped out to a 23-13 lead in the first quarter of play. The Elks outscored the Eagles 20-18 in the second quarter to make it an eight-point game, 41-33, at halftime.
Fairfield came out and put 31 points on the board in the third quarter and held Elkhart to just 14 to extend their lead to 72-47 going into the final quarter of play. The Elks outscored the Eagles 22-13 in the fourth quarter, but Fairfield still brought home the 85-69 road win.
