Filing for the May 3 local elections in Freestone County cities and school districts starts Jan. 15 and ends Feb. 14 In the City of Fairfield, City Council Place 3, now held by Bobby Nichols; Place 4, now held by Roger Keeton; and Place 5, now held by Angela Oglesbee will be on the ballot.
In Fairfield Independent School District, seats now held by Trustees Kim Whitaker, Penny Meredith and Ashlee Daniel.
In the City of Wortham, the seats now held by Mayor Pellie Goolsby and City Council members Patrick Evans and Scott Batts will be on the ballot.
In Wortham Independent School District, Trustee Place 3, now held by Brent Jones; and Trustee Place 4, now held by Sam Wright; will be on the ballot.
In the City of Teague Alderman Place 2, now held by Jerry Ballew; Alderman Place 4, now held by Bridgett Gaunt; and Place 5, now held by Timmothy Campbell; will be on the ballot.
In Teague Independent School District, the seats now held by Trustees Brian Bowers and Jeff Gonzalez will be on the ballot.
