Tau 94th birthday

Tau Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International was organized on Jan. 17, 1931, with 12 charter members. The current members met to observe their 94th Birthday Celebration on Jan. 13, at Gibbs Library in Mexia. The society promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education in Freestone and Limestone Counties. Members attending the birthday celebration, from left, are Vickie McDougal, Mary Lee, Alicia Smith, Patti Manley, Virginia Riddle and Martha Kirgan, who has been an active member for 47 years.
