Emilee Allen has successfully completed and passed all state requirements to become a Texas peace officer. She graduated from the Navarro College Police Academy on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Allen is already employed with the Freestone County Sheriff Office as a jailer where she has proven to be instrumental in the day-to-day operation.

“We are excited to see her promoted to our Patrol Division where we have no doubt she will have further success and accomplishments,” Freestone County Sheriff Jeremy Shipley said.

Chief Deputy Devin Mowrey and Shipley, along with jail co-workers and family and friends, were able to be in attendance at Allen’s graduation on Saturday.

“Congratulations Deputy Emilee Allen,” Shipley said. “We look forward to where your law enforcement career takes you and we’re excited that you work for the citizens of Freestone County.”
