Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas honored Hoover Treated Wood Products of Fairfield, as the Employer of Excellence for Freestone County. The company received the award during the annual Awards of Excellence banquet on Jan. 16, at the Baylor Club in Waco.
Hoover’s newly constructed facility in Fairfield’s industrial park produces pressure-impregnated, kiln-dried, fire-retardant lumber and plywood. This operation has created well-paying skilled and entry-level jobs, strengthening the local economy.
The company prioritizes safety and professional development, providing training programs certified by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and offered by International Code Council (ICC) providers. It promotes an inclusive culture, with mentorship and career advancement opportunities for employees.
Hoover supports Freestone County 4H, the Freestone County Game Association, and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, and takes part in community events such as Boo on the Square and Christmas on the Square—further demonstrating its commitment to the Fairfield region.
