Candidates file for May 3 election

In the City of Fairfield, there will be six candidates running for the City Council, including two incumbents. There will be three new candidates vying for open Place 3: Rick Edgette, Bill Freeman and Marcus Mason. For Place 4, Joshua Bayless is challenging incumbent Roger Keeton. Incumbent Angela Oglesbee is running unopposed for Place 5.

For the Fairfield Independent School District Board of Trustees there are three incumbents running unopposed. They are Ashlee Daniel, Penny Meredith and Kimberly Whitaker.

In the City of Teague, there will be three incumbents running unopposed for reelection to the Board of Aldermen. They are Jerry Ballew, Place 2; Bridgett Gauntt, Place 4; and Timothy Campbell, Place 5.
