The Fairfield Eagles traveled to Buffalo for their last district game of the season and brought home a 64-57 win over the Bison. The Eagles enter the playoffs with an overall record of 13-14 and 8-4 in district play.
Fairfield took a 19-17 lead after the first quarter of play. The Eagles put 18 points on the board in the second quarter while holding the Bison to just 8 to increase their lead to 37-25 at halftime.
Buffalo came out in the third quarter and outscored Fairfield 18-11 to cut the Eagles lead to five, 48-43, going into the final quarter of play. Fairfield scored 16 points as Teague scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to bring home the 64-57 road win to finish district play for the season.
Kohl Collins led the way for the Eagles with 18 points. Madden McElroy added 15 points, Davonte Alexander 9, Kavion Hicks 8, Connor Colvert and Keyshawn Turner 5 each, and Jason Brackens and Manny Brown 2 apiece.
Fairfield played the Franklin Lions on Tuesday night, Feb. 18, in the Bi-District Championship at Leon High School.
