Thirty-two Fairfield High School Band students are advancing to state in May after competing at the Region Solo and Ensemble Contest in Groesbeck on Saturday, Feb. 8. The 20 instrumentalists advancing to state are AJ Garcia, Alfonso Rodriguez, Anderson Cruce, Antonio Jauregui, Bailey Holland, Ben Kilkenny, Brooke Cobb, Callie Morgan, Casey Couture, Chris Tierrablanca, Connor Petty, Erick Rosales, Jack Bean, Jazmin Ocampo, Julio Serrato, Lily Allen, Luke Cruce, Lydia Morgan, Tevin Eam, and Yahir Yopez. The twelve twirlers advanced to the state competition after performing this past September. “We are super proud of these kids,” Fairfield HIgh School Band Director Russell Holland said.
