The Fairfield Lady Eagles took second place overall in the Fairfield track meet last Thursday, March 6. Fairfield had 183.5 points behind Elkhart who won with 191.5 points.
Na’Kayla Conner won the gold in the 100m dash with a 12.921 as Addison Posey took third with a 14.091.
Jimilyah Nash, Kaylee Williams, Blayke Brackens, and Jacelynn Schmidt ran the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:51.337 for a first place finish.
In the 1600m run, Madison Russell, Madyn Mitchael, and Zada Pjetrovic placed third, fourth, and fifth with a 6:34.461, 6:37.321, and 6:40.266 respectively. Russell placed third in the 3200m run with a 14:15.000 as Pjetrovic took fourth with a 14:56.000.
The 4x100m relay consisting of Conner, Williams, Reese Beaver, and B. Brackens placed first with a time of 51.535.
Faith King grabbed third place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.502.
Addison Shipley won the gold in the 800m run with a 2:39.701. Rhett Ralstin took third with a 2:48.736 and Mitchael fifth with a 2:51.882.
In the 200m dash, Posey placed second with a 28.706, Nash third with a 28.741, and Samayah Wiley fourth with a 29.056.
King, Shipley, B. Brackens, and Schmidt ran the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:20.193 for a first place finish.
Schmidt won the gold in the long jump with a distance of 16’2”.
Jaci Abram took first in shot put with a throw os 30’9½”. Kole Brackens placed fifth with a 27’4” throw and Rainy Bonds sixth with a 26’9” throw.
In the discus competition, Evelyn Fultz grabbed second place with a distance of 95’11” as Abram took sixth with a distance of 77’2”.
Schmidt won the high jump competition with a height of 5’0”.
Fairfield will compete in the Eustace track meet next Thursday, March 20.
