TxDOT has started Milestone 3 for the I-45 Fairfield Project. During this time, the US 84 northbound exit ramp (Exit 197) will be closed for the demolition and removal of the old exit ramp.
To access US 84, drivers must use Exit 198 (FM 27), which also connects to both the north and southbound I-45 access roads. Detour signage and message boards will be set up to guide traffi c. The closure is anticipated to last through Saturday, April 26, 2025, weather permitting.
The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow and safety of the frontage road along I-45.
