Lady Eagles 6-0 in district play

The Fairfield Lady Eagles are 6-0 after the first round of district play. Overall, they have an 8-2 record.

Fairfield traveled to Teague last Tuesday, March 25, and brought home a big 12-0 win in five innings over the Lady Lions.

The Lady Eagles scored a run in the first, two runs in the second, seven runs in the third, and two runs in the fourth in their victory.

Fairfield had 8 hits during the game. Haylee Allen had three hits, Madelyn Morrison two hits, and Cadence Webster, Reese Beaver, and Evelyn Fults each had one hit. Allen pitched for the Lady Eagles and struck out ten batters. Teague had four errors in the game as Fairfield had one.

Fairfield played Westwood on Monday night, March 31, after wet field conditions on Friday. The Lady Eagles hosted Mexia on Tuesday, April 1. Fairfi eld has a bye week this Friday and will travel to Buffalo to take on the Lady Bison next Tuesday, April 8.
