Five Eagles and two Lady Eagles are advancing to Regionals in golf after competing in the district tournament at the Tri-County at The Vineyards in Teague on Monday, March 24, and Monday, March 31.
Cade Nelson, Chandler Phillips, Hudson Little, Laiken Carlson, and Brayden Thornburg placed first as a team. Their tram total was 645.
Little shot a 72 in round one and a 76 in round two for a total of 148 and to be the district individual champion. Nelson shot a 76 and an 80 for a total of 156 and earned third place overall individual.
Carlson went 94 and 81 for a total of 175. Thornburg went 80 and 95 for a total of 175. Phillips went 90 and 90 for a total of 180.
Haddie Owens and Zada Pjetrovic qualifi ed for Regionals on the girls side. Owen shot a 109 in round one and a 104 in round two for a total of 213 and to finish fourth overall. Pjetrovic shot a 110 in round one and a 106 in round two for a total of 216 to grab fifth place overall.
Madyn Mitchael also competed at district. She shot a 133 in round one and a 145 in round two for a 278.
Regionals will be held at the Brenham Country Club. The girls will compete April 1415 and the boys will compete April 16-17.
