The release of the 2025 Accountability ratings from the TEA provides Wortham ISD with the data to help us to continue to make instructional improvements for our students. The data certainly highlights strengths and challenges that we will continue to plan for and build upon, and our educators stand ready to do so, just as they always have. Our Bulldog staff works diligently to ensure that our students have quality learning experiences each day, and while the STAAR data is important, it’s not the only data point that reflects the dedication and hard work from our staff. Here are a few highlights:
• In 2025, Wortham ISD graduated students with certifications in EMT, Phlebotomy, EKG, CMA, General Management Business, Welding, and ServSafe. Additionally, the class of 2025 graduates received more than $650,000 in scholarships.
• WISD kicked off year one of our 5-year strategic plan with high-quality instructional material implementation in K-5 math and will continue with that implementation in secondary math and instructional expectations through our Math and Literacy Instructional frameworks.
