Have people improved?
Have people evolved much? We humans possess remarkable powers. We can walk, run, swim, and even fly (if we hold a boarding pass). 04/17/2025 05:48 AM
Texas DOGE: Working For You
Texas DOGE: Working For You
When President Trump said we need to “drain the swamp,” he wasn’t just talking about Washington, D.C. He was talking about a mindset—about making government work for the people, not the other way around. In Texas, we take that message seriously. That’s why this session, we’re focused on getting back to the basics: smaller government, stronger families, and real accountability to the taxpayers. 04/17/2025 05:48 AM

OBSERVANCES The Grim Reaper, having finished with the greatest generation, is now beginning to cut deeply into the Baby Boom Generation. Last week my wife went to the funeral of a close high school friend in Tyler and the following Tuesday attended the graveside service of the wife of a good friend from high school that lives out of state. 03/27/2025 08:43 PM

Why I support banning foreign adversaries from owning our land and influencing our cities
As a proud representative of rural Texas, I have always fought to protect our state’s land, values, and way of life. That’s why I am a champion for multiple bills moving through the Texas House right now. 03/27/2025 08:43 PM

There is something to the claim that history repeats itself. I realize that people running these Iphones think if it hasn’t flashed on their screens in the last 30 seconds, it didn’t happen. In the period during WWI with Europe torn to pieces, American agriculture boomed and farmers were saying they would never have another poor day. In the 1920’s Europe came back into production, farm prices plummeted and a depression flowed through rural America while the cities enjoyed the roaring 20’s. 03/21/2025 09:10 AM

Spring break was a much needed break last week. Katy and I were able to rest some. We also enjoyed playing with our nephew, Boone. There are only about nine weeks of school left. Summer will be here before we know it. 03/21/2025 09:10 AM
Making Texas housing affordable again
Making Texas housing affordable again
We can all agree: Texas must never turn into California. Californians are struggling due to the high cost of living and excessive taxes — not to mention their radical liberal government and culture. Some of you may even have fled from states like California to find a safe refuge in conservative, free Texas. 03/21/2025 09:10 AM

House proposes $7.5 billion in new school funding
Critics say a House bill proposing $7.5 billion in new funding for public education doesn’t go far enough, The Dallas Morning News reported. House Bill 2 would raise the per-student allotment by $220, to $6,360 a year. It would also invest $750 million in teacher pay and $450 million in teacher training. 03/14/2025 03:38 PM
